We believe our residents wish to live with dignity and independence to the best of their ability and we offer graduated care and services that reflect their changing needs. Our programs nurture the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our residents. Working with families and community partners, we promote “aging with dignity” within this vision of holistic living.”

What we Believe/Value:
We believe in aging with dignity and in place
We value meeting and exceeding the needs of our residents

Our Target Group:
Ashbourne is designed primarily to meet the service and residential needs of seniors. Ashbourne takes pride in being a welcoming community for a diverse population from all walks of life.

Ashbourne is a professional, caring and friendly community that is anchored in an established neighbourhood. Regular social activities and entertainment provide ample opportunity to meet new people or to develop new friendships. The fellowship between staff, residents, and neighbours provides a true sense of community spirit. Residents at Ashbourne are not simply residents; they are family.

In addition, we have a Chaplain available half-time who is available for pastoral care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

At Ashbourne, the well-being of our residents is our top priority. We provide a balanced meal every evening and two nutritious snacks during the day, and each floor features an inviting and bright dining room.

Our health services are comprehensive. They include trained staff (available 24 hours a day), a prescription service, and home care support. We also have a Licenced Practical Nurse (LPN) on site 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and we are just moments away from the University Hospital.

An important part of our atmosphere is the range of activities and recreation programs available to residents. Our facilities include a recreation room, a library, a craft room, a patio and meeting rooms.

In addition, we have a Chapel, and facilities such as a hair salon and laundry, right in the building.

Ashbourne is conveniently located on several bus routes and is close to the major transit hub at the University.

There are more opportunities to do than I have energy to participate in. I exercises everyday, sing, go on tours, garden, read books, attend parties, and go out to dinner each day.      Anne H.
